Forest S 22.1
The flagship of the Forest series, created for large listening spaces. It builds on the sound of the S 18.1 with deeper bass and greater scale, preserving its transparency, smoothness and coherence.
Full-bodied sound. Greater scale.
The sweep of an orchestra, the deep pulse of electronic music, the power of instruments felt throughout the room. Forest S 22.1 was created for listeners who want to reproduce this scale convincingly in large listening spaces. The flagship of the Forest series is a direct development of the S 18.1. It preserves its transparency, smoothness and coherence while extending its low-frequency capabilities. Larger bass drivers and cabinet provide deeper bass extension and a more effortless delivery in this range.

Bass with a tangible presence
Low frequencies establish the scale of a performance, give instruments weight and convey the physical energy of music. We paid particular attention to these qualities in Forest S 22.1, developing a loudspeaker intended for large and very large rooms.Larger aluminium-cone bass drivers operate in a system tuned for deep, effortless bass. Equally important are texture, clarity and control over the decay of notes. Our aim is to preserve both the physical power of sound and the ability to follow individual instrumental lines. The capabilities of the S 22.1 allow for a greater scale of presentation while maintaining the careful balance across the frequency range that defines the series.
The precision and smoothness of the S series
The midrange and treble follow the approach established in Forest S 18.1. A dedicated SEAS midrange driver with an aluminium cone covers a wide frequency range, thanks to the low crossover point between bass and midrange. Its selection and tuning serve a coherent presentation of voices and instruments, preserving their tone, texture and decay.High frequencies are reproduced by an AMT driver whose response extends higher than that of the Classic model. A carefully refined passive crossover allows us to make use of its capabilities in conjunction with the other drivers. Our aim is to reveal subtle information without artificially emphasising the treble.A smooth presentation accompanies the full expression of the recording. A delicate performance retains its subtlety, while a powerful strike carries its intended energy.

Space in proportion
Through careful attention to the drivers’ time and phase alignment, we aim for a stable soundstage, clearly defined depth and convincing placement of performers. Reverberation, decays and the relationships between successive layers of the soundstage should reproduce the space captured in the recording. The larger design allows the presentation to expand in scale when the music calls for it. Intimate recordings still require closeness and a proper sense of proportion. The recording itself remains the reference for how the music is presented.
A cabinet built for the larger design
Forest S 22.1 uses a layered cabinet combining plywood and MDF. A 36 mm MDF front baffle, three internal braces and additional 18 mm MDF side panels form a solid structure. The side panels are bonded to the cabinet using a flexible adhesive, with materials and joints selected for rigidity and vibration damping. The midrange chamber is 3D-printed and reinforced with a mineral-polymer compound. The bass and midrange chambers use three types of damping material, including aramid fibers. These measures are part of our work to limit the cabinet’s unwanted influence on the sound.

The shared design of the Forest family
The front and rear panels are covered in vegan leather. The veneered sides are finished with hardwax oil, highlighting the grain of the wood. An 8 mm sheet of body-tinted glass completes the top of the cabinet. At the rear, an aluminium terminal plate is integrated with a 3D-printed bass-reflex port. The base is made from 10 mm steel and fitted with adjustable, two-piece feet incorporating a bearing ball.
